Paraffined yarn
This yarn has been lightly paraffined for machine knitting. The paraffin reduces friction, allowing the yarn to run more smoothly through the machine and improving stitch consistency.
Because of this coating, the yarn may feel slightly rough or dry on the cone or skein. This is normal. The paraffin is not permanent. After knitting and washing, it washes out completely and the yarn softens and fluffs up, revealing the natural handle of the fibre.
For best results, always wash or block your finished piece to allow the yarn to bloom fully.
Care instructions
Hand wash recommended in cool water.
Use a mild detergent.
Do not bleach.
Do not tumble dry.
Gently squeeze out excess water without wringing.
Lay flat to dry away from direct heat or sunlight.
Avoid ironing.
